This project comes as part of the second phase of Fertile Ground Program that started in 2021 in collaboration with KDVM II Keratsiniou-Drapetsonas and the Municipality of Keratsini-Drapetsona.
In the first phase of the program (2021-22), the local Municipality, local community and visitors of the Park came together to collectivly develop a common vision of the future. You can read more about this here.
The second phase (2023) focuses in the implementation of specific activities that answer needs and suggestions conserning infastruction and content of the Park. First stop of these process was to create the digital platform: www.lipasmatapark.gr
The creation of this platform relates to a common need that was "pointing out" during the development of the vision and was around visitors knowledge on the area's history.
41% of the Park's visitors had small or no knowledge about the historic development of the former industial area and 92% wanted to learn more and/or participate in activities and events relared to the Park's history.
In this new platform, digital visitors can browse through the history of the former industrial area, learn about the industrial buildings that still exist, see the Park's development timeline (from 2017 till today), learn about the cultural and social activities program that take place in the Park (conserts, talks, walks, etc.) and hear a Podcast series that presents the history of the former factory and the stories of people who worked and lived in the area.
The platform also gives access to a digital "walk" around the Park, giving the opportunity to online visitors to "walk" around, make (apointed) stops and learn more about the industrial buildings and other areas of the Park.
