Walking Basketball 60+ (WB60+) is a pilot project and an innovative initiative that promotes healthy and active aging by using basketball as a tool for exercise, rehabilitation, and psychosocial empowerment.
The programme is based on the methodology of walking basketball - an adapted version of the sport introduced for the first time in Greece. It focuses on gentle, safe physical activity, enabling the participation of older adults and people with mobility limitations.
30 WOMEN AND MEN will join the 2 hour practice in Nikolaidis Basketball Center in Keratsini, every week for the 2025-26 season

"Walking Basketball 60+ is designed and implemented by COMM’ON non profit, with the support of the Hellenic Basketball Coaches Association (SEPK) and the Municipality of Keratsini–Drapetsona.
The first pilot cycle is taking place in Keratsini, running from October 2025 to May 2026. All participants, women and men aged 60 to 85, are members of the 9 municipal senior centres, The project is supported by the TIMA Charitable Foundation as part of the Points of Support programme, co-funded by 10 philanthropic organisations.
